Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how PhotoGuide AI (“PhotoGuide AI”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, stores and protects information when you use the PhotoGuide AI mobile application and this website (together, the “Service”). PhotoGuide AI is an AI photography coach that analyses photographs and provides educational feedback to help you improve.

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

We collect the following categories of information:

Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and basic profile details needed to operate your account.

Email address. Your email is used to identify your account, send verification and security messages, and respond to support requests.

Authentication data. You can sign in using email or Google Sign-In. When you use Google Sign-In we receive only the minimum profile information required to authenticate you (such as your name and email). We do not receive your Google password.

Uploaded photos. When you request an analysis, the photograph you choose is uploaded so it can be processed by our AI. Photos are used solely to generate your analysis.

AI analysis results. The scores, feedback and lessons generated for your photos are stored and linked to your account so you can revisit them.

Usage data. We collect limited information about how you interact with the Service (such as features used and actions taken) to operate and improve it.

Device information. We may collect basic technical information such as device model, operating system version and app version to ensure compatibility and diagnose problems.

Cookies (website). This marketing website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Only cookies or local storage strictly necessary for the site to function may be used.

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account and verify your identity.
• Provide AI photo analysis, coaching and learning features.
• Store your analyses so you can review your progress over time.
• Send verification, security and service-related messages.
• Respond to support requests and communicate with you.
• Maintain the security, reliability and quality of the Service.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your photographs for advertising.

When you request an analysis, your photograph is sent securely to our AI processing provider, which evaluates elements such as composition, lighting, technical quality and impact, then returns feedback that we present in the app.

AI disclaimer. AI analysis provides educational feedback only. Scores and recommendations are generated by an automated system and are intended to help photographers learn and improve. They are not a professional certification, an objective measure of quality, or a guarantee of any outcome.

• You upload photographs only for the purpose of AI analysis.
• Photographs are transmitted and processed securely.
• Analysis results are linked to your account so you can revisit them.
• You can use the in-app “Reset My Test Account” feature to remove all application-generated data associated with your account. This affects only the application database — photographs stored on your device are not removed.
• For permanent account deletion, contact support@photoguide-ai.com or follow the steps on our Delete Account page. After verification, a PhotoGuide AI administrator permanently deletes your account and all associated data.

PhotoGuide AI does not claim ownership of your photographs. You retain all rights to the images you upload.

Your account data and analysis results are stored on managed cloud infrastructure. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit and access controls — to protect your information against unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so while we work to protect your information we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We rely on trusted third-party providers to operate the Service. Each provider receives only the information necessary to perform its function:

• OpenAI — AI processing of photographs to generate analysis and feedback.
• Google Authentication — optional Google Sign-In for account access.
• Google Play Services — app distribution and related platform services on Android.
• Vercel — hosting and delivery of web content.
• Railway — backend hosting and data storage infrastructure.
• Zoho Mail — sending and receiving service and support email.

These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies. We encourage you to review the policies of any provider relevant to you.

If you choose to sign in with Google, we access only the minimum account information required to authenticate you and create your account, such as your name and email address.

We never receive or store your Google password. You can revoke PhotoGuide AI’s access at any time through your Google Account security settings.

You are in control of your information.

• Reset My Test Account. From within the app you can reset your test account. This removes all application-generated data — including AI analyses and scores, portfolio photos and thumbnails stored inside the app, skill tracking and progress, learning progress, missions, lesson history and coach guides. It does not remove photographs stored on your device. See our Delete Data page for details.
• Permanent account deletion. PhotoGuide AI does not delete accounts from within the app. To permanently delete your account, contact support@photoguide-ai.com or visit our Delete Account page. After we verify your request, a PhotoGuide AI administrator permanently deletes your account and all associated data. This is performed manually.
• Access & correction. Request a copy of, or correction to, the personal information we hold about you by emailing support.

To make a request, contact us at support@photoguide-ai.com with the subject “Privacy request”.

You have full control over your analyzed photos and related data.

You may permanently delete any individual analyzed photo at any time from the Photography Journal. Deleting a photo permanently removes the following from PhotoGuide AI:

• the analyzed photo stored by PhotoGuide AI;
• the AI analysis;
• scores;
• skill progress associated with that photo;
• mission credits earned by that photo;
• related statistics and records.

You may also use the “Delete All Portfolio Photos” feature, which permanently removes all analyzed photos together with all associated analysis history, skill tracking, progress statistics and mission credits stored in your account.

These actions remove only your PhotoGuide AI account data associated with those photos. Original photos stored in your device's gallery are never modified or deleted.

Please note that data deletion is immediate and permanent — deleted data cannot be recovered.

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, through in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
